Here They Come
Can you see the boats, my friends,
living, working on the river?
Here they come in peace and tender,
oars and engines in all weather.
Free to live in harmony,
with nature’s spirit on the green.
Havens, harbours. Marinas, too.
On cut and coast. Old and new.
Bishy, barney; wherries racing.
Flowing light. Clouds, pacing.
Daring, different, floating free.
Dreams on water. Liberty.
