Dragonflies have a magical quality about them as they fly, they appear as if they are dancing – spotting damselflies and dragonflies is a gorgeous way to spend the afternoon. (Link to here: Dragonfly and damselfly spotting in the National Park (visitthebroads.co.uk)) We need clean water for them to thrive – how can you get involved in helping to keep waterways clean?

Watch out for the Norfolk hawker dragonfly which isn’t found anywhere else in the country! Learn more about the amazing species of dragonfly that you can find and different projects to help them with the British Dragonfly Society hereNorfolk – British Dragonfly Society (british-dragonflies.org.uk)

Dance of the Dragonflies

Dazzling green,

glittering as you jitter-bug by.

Water sheen

shining, wide shimmering sky.

Tango dive! Wings whizzing,

roaring, cha-cha soaring.

Sky high!
